Description

The Akamai Boxing Gala – it’s all about thrills, passion and quite a lot of production work.

In this case, it was Akamai’s staff who took on the role of event organisers. We remained there to provide essential support.

It all started with an idea. The company’s staff decided to organise a charity sports event, with the proceeds going towards a chosen cause. It’s not always easy to turn dreams into reality, which is why the event team [ THE BIG THING ] stepped in.

Our role in the project was to provide support and guidance throughout the organisational process. We drew on our expertise to help staff achieve their intended goal. We acted as a supporting partner, ensuring the professional implementation of a grassroots initiative. We ensured that the Boxing Gala was executed to a high standard whilst preserving the authentic character of the grassroots initiative.

The centrepiece of the event was a professionally set-up boxing ring, in which representatives from all levels of the company’s hierarchy took to the ring as competitors. 

We took care of all the event logistics. We prepared sports kits, decorative elements and the visual design (architectural lighting). We organised a children’s activity area. Together with the staff, we selected promotional materials – merchandise and event accessories.
