Summer Party

Description

We based the Lufthansa Summer Party on a sense of nostalgia for childhood games, which for most staff members took place in the 1990s and 2000s. 

The choice of venue – Forty Kleparz in Kraków – was no accident. This spacious venue, with its outdoor courtyard, offers a weather-proof solution for seasonal events. The event’s set design featured large-scale inflatable pool attractions, such as giant flamingos, pineapples and ice creams. These gave the event a holiday-like and playful atmosphere. Custom neon signs and decorations rounded off the look, creating a cohesive, retro-inspired space.

Inside the building, we set up stylised photo booths and an arcade area, evoking childhood memories. Professional make-up artists helped guests perfect their retro look. The music also paid homage to those times – the DJ played a mix of house hits interspersed with nostalgic classics. This was complemented by a drinks menu inspired by the 1990s and 2000s, featuring cult favourites such as Aperol Spritz and other refreshing cocktails.

The entire event was organised around a cohesive, eye-catching key visual that reflected the retro atmosphere and sentimental nature of the occasion. Every element, from the decorations to the props, harmonised with this fresh yet nostalgic style.

Lufthansa’s “Retro Summer Party” was not only great fun, but also a valuable team-building experience for staff. Participants had the chance to take a break from their daily routines, feel as though they were back in their youth, and bond in a pleasant, nostalgic atmosphere. As a result, the event served as a platform for building stronger relationships and reinforcing the organisational culture.
